What I blog about

I have been a sport fanatic all my life. For those of you who don’t recognise the burly fielder adorning this blog, Dwayne Leverock symbolizes everything I love and enjoy about sport. Unbridled joy, passion and an opportunity to make your mark regardless of where you come from.

The main focus of this blog would not be so much about sporting events ( though I am sure it would be tough to resist the temptation) as it would be about the commercial underpinnings of the sport. Partly for self education and partly hoping to get other people to participate and contribute, this blog will be a sincere effort to educate and entertain.

In interests of full disclosure, I am a Manchested United fan ( and no, I am not a glory hunter. I did grit my teeth and survive the Eric Djemba Djemba days ). I have currently fallen out of love with cricket ( too many prats in all teams ) and am still waiting for a day when I can do a passable imitation of a Richard Gasquet backhand.
